HYPNOSIS FAQ

Common questions, concerns, and misconceptions people have when it comes to hypnosis: answered.

Is hypnosis safe?

Yes! Hypnosis is a natural state that we all experience on a regular basis. When you come to us for hypnosis, we are simply guiding you into that state and making use of your subconscious mind’s ability to learn quickly and adapt to the changes that you want to make.

Can I get stuck in hypnosis?

No! Humans regularly go into and out of hypnotic states everyday (i.e. when we are absorbed in a task, when we are between waking and sleep, etc.).

Is hypnosis mind control?

No, as hypnotists we do not control your mind. You remain in control throughout the process. We simply guide you into a hypnotic state and help you program your subconscious mind according to your desires. It is still up to you to accept and implement the suggestions that we make.

What if I can’t be hypnotized?

Because hypnosis is a natural state all humans experience, we are all hypnotizable! What may vary is the way you as an individual experience trance compared to someone else. Some people go in very deep very quickly, some people remain in lighter states of trance. Your day to day experience can even vary. Often, people get better and better at going into deep trance over time. Regardless of the type of experience you have, or even the level of trance you go into, you can still experience success!

If someone is easily hypnotized does that mean they are gullible or weak-minded?

If anything, it’s the opposite. The best candidates for hypnosis are of normal or above average intelligence, are open-minded, and are able to focus and follow instructions.
